St. Mary's campus visit

I am traveling with my daughter to visit St. Mary%26#39;s for a campus visit and would like some advice on where to stay--we are on a tight budget, and having read some of the posts to this forum about crummy hotels and bad neighborhoods, I would really appreciate some suggestions. Hoping to stay under $75 for the night, if possible.

Your best bet since there are not any places to stay near campus is to find a room near Interstate 70 (about 10 minutes from campus to the southeast). You didn%26#39;t say when you are coming but unless its Memorial Day weekend, you will find availability at most hotels. I included the link to the visitors bureau here and none of these are crummy or in bad neighborhoods... enjoy your stay, the campus is beautiful.

Tons of places to stay right near campus. Only place i would avoid is Motel 6or Knights Inn, both are dives. Look for hotels on US 933. Avoid Lincolnway or airport area. Comfort Suites should be in your price range depending on the dates. If you need any other help just PM me.

Try US 933 (old US 31) area. Some hotels are run down, but there are some newer ones. About 8-10 minutes from campus is the Main St/Grape Rd. area lots of newer, economical choices there as well.

It turns out that I was able to get a great online price for the Ivy Court Inn and Suites (I think it was around $70) and we stayed there. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a place to stay near St. Mary%26#39;s or Notre Dame. Very luxurious, quiet, comfortable, super front desk staff.
