Help-need ideas for special weekend

Hi, my boyfriend and I, mid forties, are meeting in Fort Wayne for a romantic weekend. I%26#39;d like to do something special on Saturday-but he is not a night owl. So, I am looking for something cool to do in the afternoon. Any ideas? Thanks!!!

You might check out the following:

Fort Wayne Coliseum to see what event might be going on there.

Downtown is the Botantical Gardens. The Bontantical Gardens are nice and probably considered romantic a lot of people like to get married there.

Be sure and stop at DEBRAND CHOCOLATES and get some of their truffles! (located on Coldwater Road) They are the best!

There is an outdoor outlet mall on the southwest side of town with lots of nice stores and restaraunts to choose from.

Also there is a dinner theatre called Arena dinner theatre. Phone number for information/tickets 260-424-5622. I haven%26#39;t ever gone to it myself but I do know they have been around for a long time (must be good)

On the north end of town is a place called Crazy Pins- bowling, indoor putt putt, restaraunt and bar.

The previous poster had some good ideas, but the mall on the southwest part of town is not an outlet. It has very nice stores, including a Von Maur, Bed, Bath %26amp; Beyond, Old Navy, Talbots, atheatre, specialty shops, restaurants, etc. We also have Northwood Cinema Grill, which is a movie/dinner theatre. There is an outdoor ice skating rink downtown. Crazy pinz is a nice, fun place.

We really like the Foelling-Freimann Botanical Conservatory. It has lots of beautiful tropical plants, water features, and a desert house in downtown Ft. Wayne. There could be nice opportunities for romantic photos there as well. Have fun.

Check out the Fort Wayne visitors center online. There is a ton of things to do in Fort Wayne. Too many to mention in this forum.
