I%26#39;ve been told there is a somewhat upscale restaurant in downtown Indy - used to be known as ';Fireside South'; I%26#39;m told - but is under new ownership. I was told it has a large dining room (350 people), a banquet room often reserved for weddings on Sundays (as the restaurant is closed on Sundays), and one interesting feature is a gazebo located INSIDE the restaurant that may be reserved by a couple or very small group.
Any help in finding this would be most appreciated. I%26#39;m beginning to think someone made it up!!
Looking for a certain downtown restaurant with indoor gazebo
Fireside South was good in its day, I didn%26#39;t know it%26#39;d been reopened. It%26#39;s not DT, it%26#39;s south of the DT area.

Was it large, and did it have a gazebo indoors?
I%26#39;m not sure what restaurant you are looking for. I thought Fireside South was closed and not reopened, but it%26#39;s possible.
I have heard that Papa Roux has a New Orleans style gazebo inside, but that would mean it%26#39;s not the typical wooden style gazebo (correct?)
Here%26#39;s a link for them...I%26#39;m assuming they are still around because everyone said they had great po-boys

Haven%26#39;t been to Fireside in several years and didn%26#39;t even know it was closed. I don%26#39;t remember it being anywhere near that large. It was on the southside, as was mentioned. It was not what I would call upscale, though.
The only thing I can think of that sounds like this at all is the conservatory at Garfield Park on Shelby and Raymond St. Not downtown and not a restaurant, though but you can have catering there. I actually got married there. It has a gazebo inside the conservatory. You could probably squeeze 150 but doubt 350 would be legal.
One place that has a big dining romm is in Union Station downtown. It is beautiful. used to be norman%26#39;s
