place to stop with kids along 65 in NW Indiana

I%26#39;ll be traveling from Milwaukee to Indianapolis on Thursday. I%26#39;m looking for a place to get out, run around, have some lunch, etc...probably in the far NW corner of the state. Boys are 3 and 6. I%26#39;ll take a McD with a good playland if it comes to that...but I would rather find a great playground in a nearby town, small pumpkin farm, that kind of thing. It needs to be a relatively short visit as we%26#39;ll try to get to Indy in time to go to the race care museum that afternoon. any suggestions? thanks!

County Line Orchard would be one stop:

If you%26#39;re looking for indoor, right off of I65 and Rte 30 is a Chuck E Cheese.

Further south is Fair Oaks Farm, a real working dairy that has great grilled cheese sandwiches.

Hope it helps!

thank you! I just heard about Fair Oaks, too, but it%26#39;s good to know of something farther north in case everyone is ready for a break earlier.

Fair Oaks is only about 30 min south of Rte 30, so it wouldn%26#39;t be much longer if you%26#39;d rather go there.
