Downtown breakfast?

Staying next week 3-4 days downtown (Conrad) and looking for tips of best place/places to have breakfast/lunch.

Le Peep has really good breakfast. It is on the corner of Illinois and New York. Patachou at the Park has good breakfasts and lunches; it%26#39;s located inside the Simon Headquarters building. If you%26#39;re looking for a quick breakfast, Dunkin Donuts just opened downtown. As for lunch, there are tons of great places from fast food to fancier sit-down dining.

I also suggest Le Peep, but want to point out most of their eggs are served basted if not otherwise ordered. I request the more traditional scrambled eggs when ordering a skillet, as I prefer my eggs well done. The peasant potatoes are yummy and juice is fresh squeezed. Gets busy fast on weekends! Also, Einstein Bros Bagels on Illinois is a quicker alternative and offers great egg/bagel sandwiches. Try the Weber Grill Restaurant on Illinois for lunch, can%26#39;t go wrong there, everything is delicious and beautifully presented! Enjoy your stay!

Thanks for the tips! We actually won certificates for Weber Grill so will go there for sure as well! Other evening meals may go with Fogo De Chao or Oceanaire?

Patachou is by far the better choice when choosing between it and Le Peep. It%26#39;s also closer to your hotel. As for dinner, I%26#39;d go to Oceanaire. If you want to go to a non-chain place, try ';R'; Bistro or Elements. Both are outstanding.

I agree with ParisKat. Patachou on the Park is by far the better choice for breakfast. My other personal choices for breakfast are Hoaglins on Mass Ave and City Cafe on Pennsylvania. Both are local restaurants. They are a little bit of a walk, but it%26#39;s a great way to visit the city. Elements and R Bistro are great choices for dinner. Oceanaire is good as well. Depending on when you are in town, Elements is starting breakfast on Saturday/Sunday. That should be great! Check their website for more details. Have fun!
