Yes, we have several times, and our experience has been awesome. We stayed in Bird Song cabin, and both our kids and my husband and I loved it (so much that we can%26#39;t bring ourselves to try another one). It was beautiful! We were welcomed with little fairy lights on the porch/deck of the cabin, and beautiful music playing. The cabin and property were beautiful, and the owners (who live nearby) were awesome, too. Experiences were EXCELLENT! We would highly recommend them.

WE stayed in the once upon a cabin site and it was terrible. No working phone or cell phone service.

We would not rent through Hills O brown ever again.! First cabin we were put it was SO moldy and stale smoke smell that we couldn%26#39;t hardly stand to walk in the door. The place was filthy! It was nothing like they described it to us. We demanded a cabin change immediately ( which they did rudely) and the 2nd one was nicer but the carpet was so stained that I wouldn%26#39;t walk on it in my bare feet....let alone let a child crawl around on it. The ';Nice Hot Tub'; they described was so small that my husband and I could not even both get in and fit under the water! The kitchen had all of 1 skillet and a couple dishes in it. Linens were thread bare and the size of a hand towel for bathing, etc. got bit to death in the beds.....YUCK.

It%26#39;s impossible to get anyone to answer the phone in their office for reservations, so if you have a problem it%26#39;s even worse. There are alot of smaller cabin companies/owners that are much more personable and helpful with quality customer service and much cleaner cabins. My colleague and I just stayed here this past weekend for a conference thinking it might be a nice variation from the standard conference hotel. Upon looking back, I wish we chose the standard conference hotel.

Upon our arrival, we were astonished to see not just the usual lady bugs that are a nuisance this time of year, but hundreds (no exaggeration) of flies and wasps in the bedrooms. The first 30-40 minutes of our stay were spent vacuuming the insects. We were able to get rid of them in the main floor bedroom, but we gave up on the upstairs room since there were so many.

My bedspread was covered in dirt. Then I realized that the dirt was not only on the top cover, but also in the sheets!

These issues made us find other problems, i.e. dust on the dining room table, cobwebs along the wall, hair in the shower, no hanger for the shower towel, no toilet tissue holder, leftover trash and food from previous guests, the inability to watch a PG-13 movie on HBO due to parental control, the lack of directions for the gas fireplace, crumbs in the cracks of the couch, and of course additional flies and wasps in the living room.

I called the office management to complain before our second night to ask for a refund of some sort, but they said that they couldn%26#39;t control mother nature and that they did wash and change the sheets. I understand to a point that there will be insects in the middle of the woods that might get into the building, but for $200/night, I expect that I shouldn%26#39;t have to deal with hundreds of them and I should be able to feel clean in the sheets at night. I also haven%26#39;t received a refund.
