Anywhere downtown will be busier than normal due to the concert event and people attending. So get there as early as possible for best results for service and tables if dining. Check out indy.org for some information. Lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. Slippery Noodle is off South street and south Meridian street. Jillian%26#39;s is another close location.

It seems like there%26#39;s cheaper parking on the roof of the Conseco Parking garage, but if you get downtown early you can snag a place on the street like we did last weekend. There%26#39;s lots of places to the west, so do a search as suggested.

If you%26#39;re coming for a concert, expect downtown to be pretty busy. Here%26#39;s what I%26#39;d suggest: J. Gumbo%26#39;s. It%26#39;s on Maryland St. next to the Hampton Inn, about one block from Conseco. 40 beers on tap and cheap $6 cajun/creole food. It somehow flies under the radar and won%26#39;t be all that crowded.

The closest bar to Conseco is The Pub, at Georgia and Pennsylvannia. But as the closest bar it%26#39;s usually overloaded before a concert.

J.Gumbos is a great choice which has plenty of seating and the best beer selection in town.

North of the Fieldhouse on Pennsylvania Street are Androus O%26#39;Reilly%26#39;s (sp?) which is an Irish place and Coaches Tavern. Both have food and drink. If you are going with an expense account, look at Mo%26#39;s on the corner of Penn and Maryland.
