Looking for lake house rental that takes pets and has boats

We%26#39;re moving to Ft. Wayne, IN and will need a getaway come mid-July. We%26#39;re looking for some place close by that is right on the lake, will take our dog, has boats on the premises and doesn%26#39;t cost my firstborn. Fairly rustic is fine.

Someone from the Ft Wayne area could probably be more a lot more helpful, but I can recommend a really nice lake area about 30 minutes northwest of Ft Wayne, near Syracuse, IN. There is group of lakes in the area, the largest and most popular being Lake Wawasee, and there are vacation rentals available. Probably will cost both your first and second born, but it%26#39;s a possbility to check into. It%26#39;s really busy around there in the summer, so might not be right if you%26#39;re looking to get away from the world. There are dozens of little lakes north of Columbia City and a cluster of them almost due north of Ft Wayne, but I really don%26#39;t know anything about them. Hope this helps a little bit.
