Is there a law in Indiana against queen size beds in motels? I am trying to find a motel in the Indianapolis arear (preferably close to the north bypass) with queen beds (for my husband, myself and adult daughter) and a free breakfast. All the Choice hotels and HIEX have doubles or kings.
Hotel question
do you mean hotels with 2 queen beds in a room, rather than 2 doubles or just 1 king?
Hotel question
I%26#39;m guessing you are shooting to get two beds and a room with two double beds isn%26#39;t what you need? Probably be hard to find a double queen-bedded room . . . don%26#39;t remember ever seeing one myself, now that I think of it. If a double/double (as they call it in the biz) won%26#39;t work, a possible solution might to find a low-cost suite such as the Drury Inn at I69 and I465 on the northside that has a hideaway bed in the parlor, and a king or double/double in the sleeping room. There%26#39;s also a Hampton Inn and Suites in Fishers, a Homewood Suite in Castleton, and Springhill Suites in Fishers, all on the north side near the bypass. Not sure they have pullouts but it%26#39;s a possibility to check into. You might also be able to request a rollaway bed to be brought to the room. Probably cost extra though.
As far as a law, it%26#39;s probably just coincidence but I wouldn%26#39;t be a bit surpised if some law didn%26#39;t pass back in 1876 forbidding queen beds. :)
Isn%26#39;t there still an Embassy Suites just south on Michigan Road at the 1-465 north and Hwy 421/Michigan road exit? They have two rooms, a king bed in one and the sofa is a hide a bed, that would work perfectly for you.
It%26#39;s still there. Used to do a lot of meetings there. Was a real nice place.
The Drury Inn and Suites has rooms/suites with two queen beds.
Makssaan is right. I checked the site for the Drury Inn Northeast Indy mentioned in my post above and they do indeed have both rooms and suites with two queen beds. Rates from $89-129. It%26#39;s a new hotel. I have had great experiences with Drury Inns.
Nice work there, Makssaan.
