Flying in on June 3 and driving to Ohio. Looks like car rental is a little high. Has anyone used Hotwire or Priceline to name your own price to rent a car?
thanks for the help!

I use Hotwire.com all the time, but I don%26#39;t do a name your own price. They give the rates per day, you accept it, you pay for it, after that you find out the car rental company you got. Hotwire only uses the big name car rental companies..........Avis, Hertz, Budget, Alamo, can%26#39;t remember who else but all are good.

I like Alamo becuase of their unlimited mileage
I haven%26#39;t done the research to see if this would work, but -- if the hotwire/priceline thing doesn%26#39;t pan out -- you might look to see if rates are lower at non-airport pickup sites. If so, you might be able to take a relatively cheap cab ride to one of these places. Not too convenient, but it could possibly save some bucks. Just Google it to see locations close to the airport but not at the airport.
I also have an National Emerald Club membership through my job. I can get rates as cheap as $17/day nationwide. I think they charge $50 to join or so, but you may be money ahead in the long run especially if you rent a lot.
